Those aren’t simply cosmetic changes, as each character has their own abilities and play styles. The game is also adding a rewind fu…
Read moreVery few people have been in the video game industry as long as Mark Cerny, the architect of Sony’s PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Cerny got his start at Atari in the ’80s, and he’s seen just about everything in the four decades that followed. That’s why it’s encouraging to hear that Cerny doesn’t believe that consoles are on the way out in an era where PC gamers are getting titles that were once PlayStation exclusives.
“I think as long as we continue to create that very nice package, the future of consoles is pretty bright,” explained Cerny during an interview with GamesIndustry.biz. Cerny is also adamant that Sony isn’t trying to make PlayStations into inexpensive PCs.

You can soon preorder the first officially produced Atari 2600 new game cartridge in over 30 years. While a modernized version of the game will be coming to consoles and PC, action platformer Mr. Run And Jump will also get a limited-edition physical release exclusively on the classic console.
Developer John Mikula, from indie studio Graphite Lab, originally created Mr. Run And Jump for 2600 hardware. The titular run-and-jump man must find his dog, Leap, before he wanders too far into the Dark realm. The Atari 2600 release will feature over 80 screens across six different worlds. The game has a speedrun emphasis, illustrated by its scoring system. You start with 25000 points; every second that passes decreases the score by one and every time you collide with an enemy, the score dec…
Read moreThe Assassin’s Creed franchise has typically relied on its story-based DLC to enhance the narrative of its games. This is usually done in one of two ways: As a means of filling in obvious holes within a game’s plot (like Assassin’s Creed II’s Bonfire of the Vanities), or as a method of continuing a protagonist’s story to further explain how they connect to other games in the series (like Odyssey’s Legacy of the First Blade). The first of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s two post-launch story-driven DLCs, Wrath of the Druids, doesn’t fit into either camp. Without much tying it back to the main story of Valhalla or the franchise as a whole, the DLC doesn’t quite serve a distinct purpose and it’s worse off for it.
In Wrath of the Druids, Eivor receives a letter from he…

The developer said it will provide a more in-depth blog post on August 2 on all the steps involved, but posted a PSA on Twitter for those who want to be ahead of the curve. Larian stated that deleting save files and uninstalling the early access version of Baldur’s Gate 3 will “reduce the risk of file conflicts when the final game downloads, and should mean more playing, and no troubleshooting!” Larian additionally advised players to remove any mod files so that they do not automatically re-download once the full version of the game arrives.
